Local Resident Concerned with Town Government

Jeff Jessemen, a resident of Franconia and a recent candidate for the office of Franconia Selectman, has created a web site on Myspace as a forum for concerns that he has identified in Franconia's town governance. The manufacturers cite this as a "special" band that was created just for Greg Floyd in honor of his "courageous act of bravery". wrist bands sell for between $24.95 and $39.95.

Mr. Jessemen has repeatedly asked the town to contact the manufacturer of the wrist band with a request to voluntarily remove the picture that displays the town's police logo. As of the end of March, the Selectboard has refused citing legal issues.

Is creating a honorary wrist band in honor of an individual that took someone's life socially acceptable. Does it go beyond... (More)
